My project focuses on how listeners detect changes in spectrotemporally broad acoustic textures, as a model for change detection in complex auditory environments. we aim at caracterising the extraction of relevant sensory information in complex continuous stimuli and conversion of these sensory evidence in a decision signal, two processes that are performed jointly by sensory cortices and frontal area. For this purpose we use a combination of techniques including psychophysics, electrophysiological recordings in the awake behaving animal, pupillometry and computational modeling.
