Biographie

Trained in psychology at Paris Descartes university (BS), I obtained my Master’s degree in cognitive sciences at Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris (CogMaster). I recently finished my Ph.D. in experimental psychology and neuroscience, co-supervised by Prof. Christian Lorenzi (ENS) for the psychoacoustics part and by Prof. Ian Winter (university of Cambridge) for the physiology part. My research focused on temporal modulation coding in the normal and impaired auditory system. I’m now doing a post-doc at the Center for Neural Science (NYU) with Prof. Dan Sanes.

Domaine de recherche

My PhD focused on the processing of the temporal structure of sounds by the normal and impaired auditory system in both humans and animal models. I studied the auditory perception of two types of temporal modulations of the acoustic signal, the temporal envelope and the temporal fine structure cues, using various approaches (psychophysics, computer modeling and electrophysiology in the cochlear nucleus).
