Guilhem Marion

My interests lie in how music is encoded by the brain in order to ellicit emotions and social cohesion. To this end I am working with behavioral, cortical (EEG, MEG, ECoG) and intra-cortial recordings in ferrets data in order to track grammatical encoding of music in the brain. My work rests on melodic expectations, cultural and individual differences in their representation and how they can be mobilized to generate musical emotions.
